WELCOME TO THE ISLAND FISH KEEPERS' WEBSITE. FORMERLY CALLED THE ISLE OF WIGHT AQUARISTS' SOCIETY, WE NOW HAVE A NEW NAME. THIS REFLECTS THE FACT THAT WE HAVE NOW JOINED FORCES WITH THE ISLAND KOI KEEPERS' SOCIETY AND IT ALSO SIMPLIFIES OUR NAME AND MAKES IT MORE DIRECT IN THE HOPE OF ATTRACTING NEW MEMBERS. WE NOW COVER A COMPLETE FISH KEEPING RANGE INCLUDING, OF COURSE, KOI KEEPING.

The Fair City Aquarist Society is based in The Fair City of Perth, Scotland. We are a society of like-minded aquarists with an interest in keeping, breeding and showing fish.

The club meets generally on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 8pm until 10pm (although members are often still chatting until 10.30 and beyond). The venue is the British Aerospace Worker's Association (BAWA) Club on Southmead Road in Filton, Bristol (UK). This building was chosen as it has several conference rooms with projection and video equipment, has a bar which we can use for refreshments throughout the evening and has ample off-road car parking.

We are a group of individuals and families who meet every month, because we have a common interest in FISH. We are not experts or scientists, although our levels of experience and knowledge varies enormously and an age range from about 7 years to those who have retired, and have more time to enjoy their hobby. Membership is not restricted to Corby indeed we have members from all over the area, Burton Latimer, Broughton, Desborough, Kettering, Sydney (Australia), Vancouver (Canada) and Malta, to name but a few.

Strood & District Aquarist Society was formed in 1970 and was originally known as "Elliotts Aquarist Society", it being based at the Elliotts Electronics Company in Rochester. After just a few years, it was decided to cease from being a "works" club and was moved to Strood and adopted its current name. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month starting at 8pm at the "Crispin and Crispianus", 8, London Road, Strood, Rochester, Kent. ME2 3HT.

Otley Aquarists Society is a small friendly club; we meet at the Three Horse Shoes in Bridge Street Otley on the second Monday of every month at 8pm. We hold an annual fish show at Wortley High School Swallow Crescent Leeds either the second or third Sunday in September.

Whether you are a newcomer to the hobby and setting up your first aquarium or a veteran with forty years experience and a hundred tanks in the shed, you will find our club to be a friendly and interesting opportunity to exchange ideas with or obtain assistance from the our wealth of member's experiences. Our club members keep and successfully breed many many species of fish. Some members have specialist interests, such as catfish, cichlids, plants, ponds or killifish and often have dedicated "fishhouses" in their garages or gardens containing dozens of aquariums. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at Slip End Village Hall and start at 8pm.

Telford & District Aquaist Society is my local society, it is a relitively small club but has a good core membership comprised of dedicated aquarists. Meetings are held at: -
