Methods of sexing Corys

There are several areas where it is possible to determine the sexes of Corydoradinae. Some species are relatively easy and others are darn near impossible. Here I have attempted to give pointers and show the relevant indicators.

1. Body-a.

As a general rule it's the females of the species that grow larger in body length than males, this is referred to as Standard Length or SL. In some species this can be as much as 40% larger.
