There are currently opportunities for NERC-funded postgraduate studentship programs within the Molecular Ecology and Fisheries Genetics Laboratory ( http://biology.bangor.ac.uk/research/mefgl/index.htm) in the School of Biological Sciences, University of Wales, Bangor in the following areas:
1) Speciation and coexistence in Corydoriadine catfishes - Dr Martin I Taylor and Dr S Creer (Ref: MIT/SC/NS07)
2) Genetic basis of life history evolution in Trinidadian guppies, Poecilia reticulata - Prof G R Carvalho and Dr Martin I Taylor(Ref: GRC/NS07)

Applicants should be UK citizens, or should have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years and have a undergraduate degree at 2i or higher in a relevant subject (students with a 2ii and a masters degree will also be considered).
