The "Scleromystax" group
The genus Scleromystax currently consists of six species, however there are at least another four distinct species known in the hobby and it is most likely that there are more yet to be discovered.
Their range is limited to the coastal regions of Eastern Brazil, from the states of Paraná and São Paulo in the south up through Minas Gerais to Bahia.
