Aims and Objectives

  • With the ever-increasing demise of natural habitats, the aim of this project is to keep, breed and maintain as many Corydoradinae species as possible within the aquarium hobby.

  • An administrator panel has been set up where discussions and decisions can be made. The working panel will be appointed from amongst members from each of the countries represented. (Two from each country). A Keepers forum has been set up within the websites forum, this is only accessible to registered members. A keeper's fund will be set up in due course, and funds made available to assist in obtaining rare and difficult to obtain species. (Full details to be formulated).

  • A registered keepers page will be made available in the public domain. This list shows the species kept and or bred, and the country where located. Access by the public to the keeper/breeder will be by an indirect automated system (No names or contact details will be revealed to the public).

Terms and conditions.

  • All members of Corydorasworld.com can apply to join the program, acceptance will be at the disgession of the panel.

  • Registered members will agree to keep, maintain and where possible, breed the species they have registered.

  • Each species kept must be registered in the program and the relative information recorded, including where possible, an image or images of the species registered, so that there can be no confusion with identification.

  • When a species has been bred it is expected that said member post notice and details of the spawning in the Keepers Program forum using the species name as the post title.

  • There will be no limit to the number of species a keeper can register.

  • A member wishing to dispense with a species will first notify the members via the private, Keepers forum. Note: It is not expected that keepers make special financial concessions when selling stock to other keeper members.

  • Any financial transactions will be strictly between members.

  • Before releasing any species offspring into the open market, they must first be offered to registered members.

  • Within the system a keeper will also be required to record registered species breeding details.

  • Each registered species will be linked from the species page to the relevant keeper and a master list.

  • All registered members must enter the species they keep within the first month of joining the Program, failure to do so will result in removal from the Program.
