Notes on culturing Tubifex by Paul Sachs

Tubifex Culturing Notes (Red Worms)

These red tubifex worms look just like earth worms, and are totally aquatic. They like to clump together when feasting on decaying organisms. I've found shallow tubs work best, with low sides, 2 -3 inches of water, and a good supply of feed will make a small culture of these worms bloom fairly well, with populations doubling in about a week. When starting with small cultures, it's a good idea to give them time to establish themselves.
