The "Melini" Group

Because of the similarity in colour pattern of so many species that could all be cloaked under the name Corydoras melini, I have created this page to display images of specimens from each with known location details. More information will be added as it becomes available.

With almost identical fishes coming from the the following rivers it is becoming increasingly more difficult to clarify true identities. The starting point for this group is Corydoras melini whose know distribution is Colombia, Brazil, border region, confluence of Rio Papuri and Rio Uaupes
